X-Rays
- We are able to produce xrays immediately during
your office visit; including chest xrays, abdominal
xrays, and xrays of all extremities and bones.
Xrays allows us to more adequately diagnose
what ails you and provide you with more specific
treatment. Please feel free to contact us if
you are in need of radiological imaging.
Echocardiograms
- We are specialized in heart disease and are
equipped to perform echocardiograms in order
to assess heart and valvular function. Echocardiograms
are essentially ultrasound of the heart. If
you have a heart condition, or suffer from congestive
heart failure, it is essential that an echocardiogram
be performed to establish your baseline heart
function. Please do not hesitate to contact
us if you have been diagnosed with a heart condition,
in order to evaluate your heart function.
Carotid
Dopplers - Dizzines can be caused by a multitude
of factors, however a very common and significant
cause includes blockage of the carotid arteries,
which are the arteries supplying the brain.
If you have had a stroke or symptoms similar
to a stroke, including dizziness, a carotid
doppler should be perfomed in order to determine
whether these arteries are the source of these
symptoms. Diagnosing Carotid Artery Disease
allows us to better treat circulatory disease
that can also be found in the rest of the body.
Please be aware that confusion, sudden slurred
speech, or weakness or an extremity (arm or
leg) is an emergent situation and you should
go to the nearest hospital or contact your primary
care physician immediately.
Venous
& Arterial Dopplers - Doppler studies
are ultrasound of the circulatory system of
the upper or lower extremities. Pain in the
extremities can be due to poor circulation in
the arterial system. Swelling in the lower extremities
can be caused by many factors however a very
dagnerous cause can be a clot in the leg known
as a deep venous thrombosis and should be evaluated
as soon as possible. Please contact us if you
are experiencing any of the above.
Urodynamics
- Urinary symptoms, including urinating
often, difficulty with urine flow, accidents
that are unintended and embarrassing, can be
caused by many factors such as infection, anatomic
aberrancies or prostate disease. We have the
ability to assess these problems with testing
that allows us to better diagnose the aberrancy
that is causing the aforementioned symptoms
and thus better treat the disease. If you are
having any urinary symptoms, especially those
already mentioned, please do not hesitate to
contact us.
